Por lo anterior, está claro que la pobreza infantil en Panamá continúa siendo un desafío estructural que impacta profundamente en el desarrollo humano del país, ya que afecta a generaciones presentes y futuras, y perpetúa desigualdades sociales y económicas. El presente informe constituye el primer análisis en profundidad sobre la pobreza monetaria infantil en Panamá. Se ofrecen estimaciones para el año 2022, incluidas desagregaciones a nivel de distritos y corregimientos, lo que permite identificar con mayor precisión las brechas territoriales que afectan a la niñez.
